Instructions To Transfer Depreciation Calculator From
a
Windows XP Computer to a Windows 7 Computer:
-
Install Depreciation Calculator on your new Windows 7
computer.
-
Go to the XP computer and find the Asset Database.mdb
file in the following folder location:
C:\Program Files\Cellutionware Software\Depreciation
Calculator
Copy the Asset Database.mdb file that you will
find in this folder to a CD or flash drive.
Go to the Windows 7 computer and locate the following
folder location:
C:\ProgramData\Cellutionware
Software\Depreciation Calculator
Note that the ProgramData folder is all one word,
and it is a hidden folder. You must first unhide the folder
before you will be able to see it.
- To unhide the hidden folder you must open any window
and then click on the Organize button that is
located in the upper left-hand corner of the window.
- Select Folder and search options from the drop
down menu
- Click on the View tab
- Click on the Show hidden files, folders and drives
- Click on the OK button
Copy the Asset Database.mdb file that you copied
to a removable disc in step #2 above to the following folder
location on the Windows 7 computer:
C:\ProgramData\Cellutionware Software\Depreciation Calculator
Close all open windows
Now you must update your Asset Database.mdb file
to the new file format:
- Start the Depreciation Calculator program
- Press the Settings button
- Click on the Options tab
- Press the Update Asset Database File button
You are now ready to use Depreciation Calculator on your
Windows 7 computer.
